Charles Haddon Spurgeon is commonly called “The Prince of Preachers,” a title he rightly deserves. At the height of his ministry in London, he preached to crowds of ten thousand every Sunday and his sermons were published in the daily newspapers both in England and in the United States.

Now, a hundred years after his death, Spurgeon’s books of textual and topical sermons have been translated into many languages; these sermons remain as insightful, convicting, practical, and timely as when he preached them from the pulpit of the Metropolitan Tabernacle.
