James Hudson Taylor (1832-1905) was a Christian missionary to China,and founder of the China Inland Mission (renamed Overseas MissionaryFellowship). He served there for 51 years, bringing over 800 missionaries tothe country and personally baptizing an estimated 50,000 converts.
